For a great overnighter try Boulmer in Northumberland .
Right on the beach ,fantastic small village pub, (fishing boat inn) with brilliant meals and very friendly . Toilets in pub and very clean public toilets in village . A genuine all year round free wildsite. if car park full local resident field parking if you ask politly. People are always happy to sit and talk so keep the kettle on . Alan

Here is a totaly out the way and very quite spot just down the road if you want to be totally private and left alone .dont tell anyone I told will you :>) !!
