Wiper Blade costs (1 Viewer)

If they have them in your size Tesco have two ranges of blades. The higher price ones are £7 but a good heavy quality what i will buy again. Buy cheap buy twice.

You've got confused Alan - it's the half a potato that you put in your jar/tin of tobacco, to remoisten it when the dry heat from the hypocaust has dried it out too much!
no it used to be said either rubbed on your windscreen made rain run off.
have used the potato one when my wiper motor packed up . it sort of helped . never tried tobacco too expensive .

You'd think a spud would leave starch marks, like it does on knives and draining boards?

Aaaah, a freshly dug 'new' potato might not?

I use wine corks every time we stop to lift blades off the screen have to keep drinking more wine as I keep forgetting to take them off :)

They then end up blocking the scuttle drain (X250 ). I often find them the cause of a blockage when valeting

well best not try mashed potato.ha ha .
and you dont want chips on the screen it could fail mot with chips on the screen . .but try a fresh one . go on .

I know this is an oldish thread but only just seen it and have a little tip when using corks to support wiper blades ......

....Push a cocktail stick through the cork it will stop it blocking the scuttle drains.:xThumb:

I have our van tested at a dedicated test station , charges full price but replaces any worn wiper blades free:xThumb:

Thanks, but we got the new blades back in the summer, from one of the sites recommended by Funsters, can't remember which site tho.
