Just booked via the Caravan Club 'Winter Escapes' brochure to spend lots of weeks (probably too many) basking in the sunshine at Bonterra Park in Benicassim. Read lots of favourable reports before booking, but, we'll be staying in one place for a lot longer than we've ever done before. A bit scary, but it's done now, and we are looking forward to it !
At least Eileens happy, there's a Lidl over the road (isn't there always ?) so she'll be able to replenish the on board wine cellar, daily !
We set off in January, and return late March.
But we can't wait that long to get away. Bollocks to this staycation lark we're off to France end of August and return end of October.
Ferry booked via Caravan Club, £ 54 (& 2 p ?) return.
We know from past experience that the sun shines well into late October, in St Tropez, and it stays warm.

Bonterra Park is 15 euros a night with an ACSI card. My experience of this area is that the weather starts to turn during very late September/early October which is when the rain tends to come. Two years ago the floods were incredible. It is a matter of luck whether the sun shines but the underlying temperature will be reasonably warm. Bonterra is a very nice site opposite a large Mercadona supermarket, close to the beach and town and next door to LIDL. It is a good flat area for cycling so don't forget your bikes. In October time they start cutting the trees because there is a lot of shade. There is always demand and a waiting list system for "sunny" pitches so choose carefully when you arrive.

hi
I hope you have not got any dogs as they are not well recieved on this site you have to sign a disclaimer against doggy poo accidents . It can be quite a walk to get off site and clearing up after you gets plenty of frowns.
Otherwise this is a great choice of site
