My new (old) Hymer, being very wide, i, (and not only me I hasten to add) the wing mirrors have been knocked so many times that they are now almost hanging off!
once more,I feel and that will be that.
I have tried screwing in some heavy duty rawl plugs but to no avail.
what can i do?
any help most welcome

Not Long Enough...!!
If where they are fitted the inside is covered by the dash or similar, You could possible drill throu and fit coach bolts, as long as the nuts are not seen on inside of veh.
Also if you do this make sure its well well sealed from water ingress...

Link Removed rivet nuts can be used .or can you fit truck type like on flea bay. a problem is only something to get round . not an obstacle for ever.

many many years! since I was a kid
cut a stainless plate that is larger than the original mount and bolt this over holes then mount mirrors to the new plate. done neatly it would look like a original fitting. dependent on bodywork you could also fit a strengthening plate inside to spread the load too
