Is wine wasted in cooking ?
Personally I prefer to taste it from a glass

Only wasted in the food if there's none left in the bottle to drink

Like your thinking - to be safe you could have 2 bottles of the same wine, drink one and then drink what's left of the second :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Blimey not you two as well????

Wine in cooking is never wasted as long as there is plenty left!

Are we a nation of alcoholics? Most Europeans seem to think so.........:Rofl1:

Just made a batch of 22 litres, perhaps I should just stop decanting it into bottles

Wine is never wasted when used cooking especially if you reduce it down, it will give a rich taste to any dish, then drink to rest of the bottle. :thumb:

To save decent wine always include a good glug of decent red wine vinegar.

Or for a spag bol a dessertspoon of balsamic vinegar.

as well as a glug of red wine...

    I always cook with wine.

Sometimes I even put it in the food!
