Presumably only covers home OS not professional as it would cause havoc otherwise. I don't use windows in my personal life, only for business.

Basically windows update is no longer pestering you to upgrade, it is actually scheduling an upgrade for you. You now have to cancel it to stop it happening.l

I'd love to know just what is in W10 that they are giving away billions of $$$$$$$$. Surely US government spooks behind it.

Anyway, I'm shocked to admit, after zapping the first install I let it install again and find it first class. So updated wife's PC as well.

OK a few niggles, sometimes I can't save a file where I as administrator want to but I can live with it assuming it's a useful tightening up of security.

Boot time and shutdown time is in another league.

after a bad experience with a previous PC that fortunately I booked online from Curry's and managed to return just within the refusal period, I'm resisting all efforts and using Chrome on this new one.

Thanks for the warning - I will up the vigilance
