Blimey. Just left like few hours ago. Stayed in the Oak woods - First right over bridge, trying out new MH for an over nighter. Area is very very boggy at the moment so take care. Maybe returning on 27th or off to Postern Hill. Enjoy

From my experience we won't be hearing from you once you are there - broadband dead spot. :xgrin: But it is a site with a somewhat chequered past with long term residents turfed off in the last year or so. I was there in November and got the impression they were drifting back but the wardens were really cheerful and made us very welcome. A nice place if you have the weather to do some walking.

    Hi.
I think it is the "Seasonal" pitches, that give the impression of long term residents,we go for the Select pitches area.there are a few up there. Super site,we were there in August,as a treat before coming back here. Horseshoe Bottom, sit up overlooking this area,me off with the growler, wife into her books,as said above, great walks/cycling in the area.
Best of luck for your Christmas at Setthorns, you could not be in a better place, enjoy.
    Merry Christmas.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas there Sue. We spent our first Christmas in our first Motorhome at Setthorns. Had a lovely slap up meal at the Silver Hind on Chrismas Eve and they allowed us to take the dog in, if you fancy a meal out.

Most pubs in the area are dog friendly. As well as the Hind in Sway village, the Horse and Hounds on the Brockenhurst road, most pubs in Brockenhurst and the one down near the beach just past Everton, all allow dogs. My friend lives in the road behind the mini mart in Sway ( used to be Londis)
