We intend exploring this for our 2nd trip with our new to us MH. However, we have no idea how long the battery mght last. It is 85 AmpH and we would run the LED lights & water pump, an Avtex TV + Satellite for a couple or three hours in the evening, plus charging 2 phones and 2 tablets (on 12v supply).

Not much . You need to add more batteries and a solar panel wouldn't go amiss. You can only discharge your battery to 50%at most.

What kind of heating do you have?

13 years on n off
Also depends on how good the battery is, an old battery could run out in a couple of hours.

yes, indeed, we don't know the condition of the battery yet... but it looks as if buying something with a few more AmpHs might be a good idea.... a 2nd battery would add weight but if we have enough payload then that might be an option.:)

It depends on several things in addition to the above including:
  • how much charge is in the battery
  • how long you use the items for (which will affect how much recharging of them is needed)
  • how much input the solar panel is putting back in to the battery
With a fully charged battery you'll possibly get 2 ... if you are driving each day and putting in some charge that way you should be okay for 1 night minimum.

We have a 4 year old Globecar,85Ah battery, we have no solar panel, this lasts 2 days and still shows 12.5 volts(80%) with similar usage except that we do not have LED lights and watch recorded TV on the computer so this will use less current than the TV.

Bit of a how long is a piece of string that one, but, your satellite TV won't use much, once the antenna is up, its job is done. Our decoder uses about 1.5a (but it has a hard drive plugged into it) the TV uses 1a so TV watching uses 2.5 amps.
With every single light on in the van, it draws an extra 2amps. Charging stuff is probably best done while you are driving, then the alternator does it for you, but the chargers don't draw much power.
On an 85ah battery, you've got 42.5ah usable power, on light usage like you describe, I can't see an issue to be honest.
Don't forget at this time of year you'll also have the blown air on, that uses power, but not much. Reckon if you are conservative you could go 3 days.

We have 85Ahr battery, led lights, avtex tv and no solar
when at concerts get about 3 days, obviously not using loads maybe a couple of hours a day, and no problems with a couple of days wilding using gas for heating
