I believe there's a car park just off Chalmers st you can park up or there's another few spots near the ferry terminal.

I can't vouch for any of the places for parking a campervan but can't see any issue for one night. - but I'm from Gourock originally... suggestions
watch for parking restrictions - you may need a parking disk but these are free from shops
