I have over a number of months been trying to create a wifi zone within our motorhome. Being site wardens & situated behind the reception we can only pick up the wifi signal from the office router via a wifi booster connected to a wired connection direct to the laptop. So after purchasing a wifi extender, a wifi repeater (both returned & monies refunded) I have found & utilised an electronic switch on the laptop that enables to act as an 'Access Point' Its located in a menu which is listed under the wifi button Ctrl & F12 Hope this may help others create their own wifi zones.

Well using your lappie to creat a wifi works for "low load" situations...

Also - you have to have lappie on to make it work....

You need two routers to create connect an exterior wifi to a "van wifi" ...

1st router (with booster aerial) connects to site wifi...
2nd router connects all your kit and creates the "van wifi"

link the two routers via the one of the RJ45 ports; turn off the DHCP in No1 router; set the IPs of the two routers to say 254 & 253, make the DHCP range lower so 40-70, tada!

Its cheap to do and if you get 12v routers (e.g. TP link) they can be run of your leisure battery...

I did write a detailed explanation but its too big to upload
