Found this website today and had a chat with the owner and engineer. He seems very knowledgeable! He sells such useful things as plugs and cables (that are hard to find) as well as aerials and kits to produce your own with drawings. Some people might find it useful. Prices seem pretty good and the drawings are PDF and free. Worth a look if you want to try something with your MIFI. Like make a cheap, effective directional aerial that gives good gain.
Hope this is of use to someone, I will certainly be using their services to make a fully directional antenna for my MIFI.
