Just an update and whinge to be honest

Been waiting since we moved in for trades to complete works required
Since we moved to this bungaloid

Boiler change ( http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum...d-why-i-miss-my-gas-safe-qualification.95329/ )

Well we also wanted a side door in the garage
So we contacted a few company's nearly 6 weeks back

Said to Mrs t at the time obviously they'll both come at the same time

Guess what !
they are both coming Wednesday
Bet it's the coldest day this month
may as well snow too:rolleyes::giggler::crying::laughing:

How old is your property? Many covenants were put in place to stop builders etc living in caravans etc while the properties were being built. Unless there are neighbours or management companies that would complain or you fear that your neighbours would bring their tatty caravan ;) onto their land if you set a precedent, I believe that you may be able to quietly ignore that covenant.

As above

If the builder has folded and they probably wouldn't be interested anyway

It would have to be a neighbor to take you to court as it would be a civil mater.

I would be surprised if a MH is in a covenants, it tends to be commercial vehicles over a certain size/tonnage ie works vans.
Caravans seem to appear a lot as well

Would the presence of the mh block anyone's light or view? Do you get on with your neighbours? Our solicitor said that it would be very difficult to enforce the covenant and the only likely scenario would be having a neighbour complain because you block their light or view and they would have to take you to civil court to get the covenant enforced which is unlikely.

many many years! since I was a kid
if the builder folded, then they cannot enforce the covenant as they no longer have a vested interest. had exactly the same at this property and mother in laws. took legal advice because a neighbour complained and basically the covenant is not worth the paper its written on any more. only any use as the builder built then sold the surrounding properties, but not since
mother in laws was built on an old farm belonging to an estate 100 years+ ago. the covenant also listed no itinerant workers and other bits that would be illegal to try and enforce now, obsoleting the entire covenant
get a local solicitor to look at the document if worried, but shouldnt cost much. many give 1/2 hour free advice on similar matters and will say if theres any chance of losing

Whilst I'll go along with you they covered that angle too
But it's now been adopted by local council

Mind you the covernants been broken by a good no of folks
On the estate with tall washing lines extra walls and conservatories
White plastic windows
At least ours are rosewood plaaastic ones

Parking by us or our visitors wasn't allwed on the road
Speed cars come round I don't think I'd like to
To be honest

And we mustn't object to the builder building near us
Ht might struggle there is no room left
