On our last trip, we spent about three weeks in France (just in the northern part as a sort of "taster" for future trips - and 5 weeks in the UK starting at Scrabster and ending at Dover. We started in The Netherlands, then Belgium, northern France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Faroes, Scotland, Wales, England, then finished in Germany - all taking 5 1/2 months. Our first experience in Europe.
For all sorts of reasons to do mainly with whether countries and cultures meet our needs and expectations, we will be spending a lot more time in France over the next few years and no more time in the UK.
