With the average mileage for moho's appearing to be about 3,000 per year, has anyone topped 200,000 miles in total and what is the highest average yearly mileage? I only ask as our Peugeot Boxer 2.8 hdi has now passed 100,000 miles and a friend's VW Passat diesel has now done over 280,000 miles..

We are on 120,000 but that's km so doesn't really come close. We are doing 8 or 9 thousand miles per year, trying to get our money's worth

We bought our now 10 year old motorhome three years ago with 43,000km on the clock. We're now coming up to 100,000km and will add a few more with our trip to Norway this summer!

Did you sell your last van because of high mileage or because you wanted a change. Our van is 12 years old but adapted for Sue's disabilities. We love it and would be very sad to part with it.
Are you full-timing or like us using the moho as our sole vehicle?

We do about 15,000k a year.
We sold it cos we found our present van for sale totally out of the blue and it was the layout we'd been talking about for our next van. We sold our other van quickly at a reduced price.

I thought we were doing well at 24,000 in 24 months.

Maybe in the Uk miles are low, but 100-300,000 kms seemed normal in Germany when we were looking, perhaps it's because we live on an island, perhaps we are reluctant to pile on the miles because of the inevitable depreciation that will follow, who knows. We finally bought a Mercedes based Hymer with 230.000 kms and we hope to double that during our retirement.

We did 7593 miles from new in the first year. That's with both of us working full time and only travelling in the U.K. When we were chatting to the salesman when the MoHo went in for its first service he remarked that the average is usually only 3k miles.

We reckon we've done approx. 330,000 miles in three motorhomes since 1994.
AND ... we're doing a long Scandinavian trip this year!!

Quite agree. Whether we go up the road to Cromer cliff top or France, it's an adventure.
AND we're in the Picos de Europa at the moment and loving every minute of it. It helps that the weather is good tho!!
