Which Silkaflex (1 Viewer)

Quick question for them's that's dunnit, trying to order Silkaflex to bond solar panels to roof of the van and have got bogged down with tinternet info i.e. 221, 291.512 etc etc.
Any help greatly appreciated. oh:oh:

Have a look at O'leary's website - they do their own version for £3.99 - I got some yesterday at their recommendation to stick/seal up my Fiamma awning which I'm putting on the 'van as it does the same job as the Sikaflex.

Spent many an hour studying the subject before we fitted our panels. Most of the articles I read on the forums and in magazines recommended silkaflex 512.

It is expensive £11 a tube, can't compare it with anything else because it's the first time we've stuck anything on the van.

Hope you'll be as happy with your panels as we are with ours.

Ralph used the 512 , make sure you use the Silkaflex primer first though.
The solar panel stayed stuck to our caravan ( by brackets ) for 3 years before he took it off. Its been stuck to the motorhome ( brackets again ) since we bought it too .
Solid as a rock.

We've just fitted our new Fiamma F65 awning to our van today with the fixing kit and the adhesive/sealant from O'leary's ... by heck is it good stuff!!!! It was setting well within 30 mins ... hope I never need to take the brackets off!!!!

221 and 512 are almost identical specifications.
I use 512 in preference as it seems to be easier/smoother to apply especially in lower temperatures over 221
5 degrees minimum for both during and following application until cured, allow 24 hrs.
No overnight frosts!
