which pegs? (1 Viewer)

Evening all,

decided to get an awning for the van ... wet dogs etc,

it came with skinny metal pegs, probably no good except as skewers on the bbq.

anyone recommend proper usable pegs, last time I used tent pegs we had to make our own out of wood

Cant go far wrong with proper rock pegs

I use a mix of the rock pegs and screw pegs (you use a drill to put them in and take them out, the adapter is provided)

i like bulldog pegs . i imagine you can still get them i,m still musing my dads from when i was a youn g boy. gotta get your moneys worth out of them hee hee.
also got a big bag of the wooden ones .ideal for guide ropes .

screw pegs are great in most conditions, but they really dont like very coarse gravel or as we found in wales iron furnace slag used for hardstandings. Otherwise use chunky rock pegs, which will go into the majority of ground types with the aid of a lump hammer
