Hi we are finally going to go abroad in our Motorhome

We currently are covered by green flag in this country, who should we go with in Europe, we were told Red Pennant.
We were with ADAC 2 years ago but they cancelled our membership because we had 2 UK call outs in one year:Angry:

I know they are good in Europe but we had one hell of a problem trying to talk to someone in English, and the number we had( and that was put on this forum) for Barbara Lorenz did not get through to her.

    All answers gratefully received:thumb:

i had this ( google translated) back fromADAC today by email

    Dear Mr. Phill D,
    'thank you for your message.
We are happy to inform you that the individual clubs in the AIT and FIA (umbrella organizations of all automobile clubs) help their members against each other. If your permanent residence is abroad, a candidate is expected to the club in the country due to international agreements. This is also recommended, because the only way the entire range of services of the club in question may be used.
    Please contact locally to the
    AA Customer Support

so they say no UK new members and you get referred to AA in UK.
have checked both AA and RAC european cover and there appears to be a 3.5T and 3m high limit.
but going through Comfort insurance does not have the same restrictions according to their small print.

Another vote for Comfort from me. Used the breakdown cover in Spain - no problem.

I also found Comfort to be good, I think the actual policy is with Aviva
I lost the awning last summer, flipped over the top by the wind wrecked the awning and pulled the fixing points out of the body.
Around £3k paid with no quibble

Comfort for me too. Not had to use them but am confident they will be there if we need them.
