I currently have a Pioneer Avics F77DAB which I've generally found OK apart from the lack of map updates. Can anyone recommend a head unit for which there are regular navigational updates?

Getting better month by month.
I have the Kenwood DNX 450tr utilising the garmin sat nav. Three yr free upgrades. Does everything else. Bluetooth for music or phone. DVD player and DAB radio. It is the only one I have ever owned and it works great for us.

Thanks Zigisla, how often are mapping updates available?

I have had the unit for exactly one year and have updated it twice. You have to load a micro SD card into the unit and download your sat nav info, then log onto Garmin. If there is an update then your computer will do the rest, if not, then you are notified "no update". It can be programmed for MH size and weight, so it shouldn't take you anywhere you cannot go. It seems to have failed me once during the 8+k mile it has been on, but it may have been operator error though.:xThumb:

I have a Clarion it runs IGO Primo satnav IMO far superior to Garmin or TomTom, updates £75 but they often do special offers.

Thanks again Zigisla, I have now received instructions on what you describe from Pioneer, so I'll give it a go. I've never been offered these instructions previously, so........
