Hi

We have ordered a new motorhome, but it does not have a Category 1 alarm fitted as standard.

We have the advantage of being able to have things altered/fitted at the build stage rather than afterwards and wondered what was the best alarm/where to buy, so that it can be fitted at the factory. Some of those I have researched seem to be sold with fitting included.

Any information would be appreciated.

You would be far better off with a tracking device. To cover UK/EU it would cost you around £650 to include life-long subscription as well as the tracker. This is a very cheap deal indeed, and for a very high quality and well regarded tracker that you as well as the company can track - which is nice if visiting relatives, and you want to make sure it is at home!

As soon as the vehicle is tampered with, it alerts the tracking co and yourself - long before they get in!

Only thing to guarantee its' safety, as alarms are often ignored. They come with the highest thatcham approval too. Have a look on Scorpiontrack website and find a dealer in your area.:thumb:

Hi

I have to agree Vanbitz is the place to go. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service and a product that is second to none with the added advantage of being designed for motorhomes and not a car or house alarm cobbled together to work in a campervan. They also have a super camp site to stay on while it is being fitted.
