I have a plan to visit the Lake Tahoe for skiing this year. First of all I want to visit the Niagara Falls with best bus tours and after this I will go there. [HI]Lake Tahoe is a beautiful from any vantage point[/HI], but it is especially stunning from the slopes. It also offers many ski areas like Heavenly, Squaw Valley and Northstar-at-Tahoe lure.

I haven't skied there but do agree it is beautiful, especially after a light dusting.

Very fond memories, and excellent MoHo facilities too.

The kids are nagging me to go this Winter.

Don't fancy it in the van though so its an expensive business.

Plus ski boots kill my feet:Sad:

Take them to Scotland for the week, there again the alps might be closer to you :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We have spoke about trying France as we did glen Coe this year for our first go of skiing and enjoyed it. Will wait and see probably end up going north again.

"idea"
give up that poor paid lawyer job and join the NHS

I've heard the pay is great and they get tons of winter breaks to enjoy skiing

St Anton Austria. Possibly the best winter campsite anywhere, you have your own personal immaculate bathroom suit, with plent of space to store kit (in my case a snowboard). Access to a full sized indoor swimming pool to stretch your aching muscles, ski bus on door step 5 mins to lifts. Plenty of bars and eateries in town. 5-10 minute walk from campsite to a village where there are many pensions to get a good meal in. It is a beautiful location.

Also lovely in the summer.

As you know Paul, Mrs and me done VT a few years ago in van,a great experience and trip but last year flew to Bulgaria,stayed in hotel on edge of slopes,fantastic hotel with pool,Jacuzzi s,sauna and great night life, best of all sooo cheap,would definitely go back. Would consider taking the van again if we combined it with a longer trip.

We've all been now, this is the thread for the Winter 13/14 season!:Doh:

Anyway for 2014/15 season we are doing two trips!:party2:

One without kids at Christmas and New Year, then the other, with kids, at half term in Feb.
Don't worry folks, the kids aren't ours!!!::bigsmile:

Not sure where yet, but VT is favourite for kiddie friendliness when it comes to getting them to ski school on the morning!
