We met Kiwicoss and Cherry Pirate in Rome, but that was it in a 5 week trip. We thought we saw another funster but it was just a yellow smiley face on a registration plate. We told every British couple we met about how brilliant Motorhome Fun is, so hopefully when they get back they will all join and swell our numbers even more.

Although you didn't meet any other funsters, because they were all sunning themselves over here - how did your trip go? We are thinking of visiting Spain next year so all information would be gratefully received.

La Marina, Los Alcazares, Mojacar beach, La Azoha, Platja De Tavernas.. Many many places to park up for a week without cost... Unless you think that makes us "freeloading tossers". Just joking. Go and enjoy and get yourself "Campercontact", it costs just £4 to download and is a real asset.. Stick it on your I-Pad with the TomTom App (£65) and they work together seamlessly.. Good luck mate..

We're all in favour of free parking - as long as it's secure and there's no danger of being moved on in the middle of the night. We looked through the 'All the Aires' book for France and found loads of free aires, and having bought the Bord Atlas book we stayed on a few German Stellplatzes that were really low cost as well, we tended to use ACSI sites in Italy because we didn't want to stay on their Sostas with no shade in the blazing heat! Will look into the Campercontactfor next year. We don't have a Tom Tom, or an Ipad, (unless Father Christmas comes up trumps this year....) Thanks for the information though. We've spent many holidays in Mojacar beach so we know how nice that place is. Looking forward to 2015 and we have only just started this years adventures!

We never see any MHFun stickers except in the UK. We don't actually come across many British motorhomes at all, I suppose they go somewhere different.

We've just returned after 8 weeks mainly in Spain. Benidorm, Villa sol site brilliant. Pensicola, Blanes, onto France, Beziers, Millau, Sarlat, Anguleme, Chinnon and Pont de Arche. Then Sittingbourne Kent, Cambridge, Nottingham and then home to Lancs. We travelled via Portsmouth to Santander and returned via the Tunnel. We met a few friends along the way and noticed Dementia with his red dragon emblazoned on the back of his motorhome. It was far better than last year when we encountered plenty of wet weather along the way. If anyone is interested there's a very good family owned Fiat service garage in Altea on the left hand side heading east and a Fiat main agent 100 yards further on on the right. I had to have new front nearside window winder motor assembly fitted.

We are currently in Spain near Alicante and will be for a few weeks. We never saw another Funster on the 5 day trip down here, or since, but we will keep looking, although we tend to go inland rather than the main tourist coastal spots.
Off on Monday to explore the Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas to south west of Yeste in Albecete province, mountains, lakes and waterfalls!
Rolandrat - thanks for the tip re Fiat garage in Altea, noted just in case.
