We take delivery of our first Motorhome just in time for the August Bank Holiday ! We live near Bristol and are thinking of going to the Gower. Any good advice welcomed!

I dont know the area , to give any advice . Sorry.
But where ever you are fancying going , if its August Bank Holiday , you will probably need to book in.
If its a popular place you'll probably be a bit late now.
If you are members of the camping and caravaning club there maybe a rally / meet / holiday location near to you. That way theres bound to be some friendly folk around to give you any advice you may need.
Id get your favored site phoned , as soon as , if i were you:thumb:

If you are looking for site for Bank Holiday then you may have difficulty as many will be booked.

A little later than bank holiday is the Shepton Mallet Motorhome show see Wildmans thread for details. You should book in there with the other funsters they will give you a warm welcome and much sound advice. You will also be able to buy those indispensable bits and pieces at the show that you will need.

Last August Bank Holiday we stopped on the carpark at Abereiddy, near St Davids, and it was empty in the evening.

Mind you, it lashed it down all weekend!
