As Detling is a fair distance from here we will be breaking our outward journey at the C&CC THS at Bakewell for a couple of nights but it would be nice to be able to go somewhere a bit closer to Detling (a CL/CS maybe) for the Thursday night.

We intend staying in the south east for a while after the show and, hopefully, use a C&CC or MCC meet the following weekend so looking for CL/CS for midweek.

    Any suggestions?

Hi Graham, have you considered the Park & Ride at Canterbury.
An ideal choice if you want to have a look around the city.
You even get a free ride into the city center on the buses included in the overnight fee.

    Brisey.

Graham, I think you will find you have been barred from the South East and should you try to enter The Suverners will get you at the Dartford Crossing ......... and it's a long way down from there.

We have been to the showground previously for Military Odyssey events, Brian, so already have safe passage and inoculation arrangements for that part of the trip.

We even ventured into bandit country round Swaffham/West Acre one year.

Nobody can say we Northerners aren't brave - or foolhardy :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Lovely views and it's in the village with a pub opposite and a village store & butcher's shop. It is extremely popular though so you have to book.

As I've survived proximity to Watton in Norfolk in the past I'm ready for anything :Rofl1::Rofl1:

As regards the comments of a certain person I'm sure Icanremember to put him right next week at Peterborough :Rofl1::Rofl1:
