Chap I know on a car forum is converting a VW LWB van into a camper. He is looking for a compact Rock and roll bed, does anyone know where one can be purchased from ? One from a specialist breaker would be fine I think.

    Cheers

it all depends on what you want if you want it to work as driving seat and you want the certificates to go with it your looking at 2000 pounds for a rib or similar if your not bothered about certs of using them as traveling seats then theres plenty on ebay many claim to be pull tested but im sure that isnt the same as crash tested

Like ScotJimland says. I've got one in my campervan...by day it's a sideways facing seat, by night it rocks/rolls (with some effort) into a bed.

Might be worth visiting some Volkswagen camper forums for recommendations/advice.

There are big variations in quality, price and ease of use. Not sure if I'd blindly buy one online...

Having said that, in my limited experience http://www.justkampers.com/ seem to sell quality goods.
