We have Dover to Dunkirk return ferry booked for a week in Oct (not school hols). We are thinking of going to Belgium as never been there before and don't want to travel too far. We like cycling and visiting old towns, decent food. We know there is an aire in Bruges and also Camping Memling nearby but not much else about the place. Can anyone recommend places to visit, sites / aires? Or should we be thinking of staying Eastern France instead. We won't book in advance but want to have an idea of where to go.
:thanks3:

We stayed at camp memling in Brugges, a lovely little camp site. We went from there to Maastricht in Holland (only a couple of hours from Brugge) and stayed at a great campsite called oosterweg. You can go on great cycle rides and explore the area. The city of maastricht is beautiful well worth a visit. We also stayed at the campsite at Ypres, so handy for the town. We picked up a self guided walking map or cycling :)
