Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a company who supply and fit a fixed wheelchair hoist for a motorhome garage with approx 1metre high x 1metre wide door opening. I also need hand controls fitted for a Fiat Ducato

We have an Autochair Olympian hoist.

Both the above will put you in touch with local installers.

quite a few years now, and loving every minute..
i have had a brigayd 4 way remote controlled hoist fitted in the rear of my car for mine (heavy powerchair) for the last ten years, would recommend theirs without a moments hesitation..
is this for a manual wheelchair or an electric powerchair rukei?
height wise you should be fine, but please check with whoever you decide to purchase from as to the width needed, i think mine takes more than a metres width to get it in, but a foldup manual chair would take less of course.. :)
will try to find a tape measure tomorrow and check for you..

The Brig-Aid one I linked to will be overkill then. Click the 'Products' link at the top of the page to find something more suitable for a manual chair.

The Autochair link was already to their product overview page.

The breadth of knowledge on this site never fails to amaze me. In the space of 10 minutes I've learned you can fit a hoist in a motorhome garage ( why did we used to lift one into a car?) and how to kill flies using a torch!
