I don't think you'll get a power lead or a fire extinguisher in a German van unless you ask

The person handing it over to us said he thought it was a shoe horn. I said that there has been much discussion on the matter and on end of it appears to be used for the heki window. :) He was pleased that at least his shoe horn theory was correct.

Its a combination oven and grill tec tower. So no grill pan

Ours in a tec tower too. No grill pan in ours either, just a wire shelf and a tray in the bottom.

If your grill is as good as ours I wouldn't worry about the grill pan. Our grill is diabolical. Not capable of doing toast. Oven not too bad though but only for warming things up (pies etc), not for any serious cooking. Perhaps it's just mine that's poor.

Our previous van had a grill they are rubbish. But thought it should have something. The oven is idle for warming stuff as you say not interested in serious cooking on holiday :D

Ours came with a slide out metal tray and a slide out wire rack
So did ours. (y)

But no fire extinguisher, smoke alarm or hook up lead, until the dealer chucked a new lead in the garage at hand over. Now got three hook up cables so can beat some of the French with their long cables. :D:D

Having a lightweight or maybe a cheapskate Exsis didn't get the shoehorn or the first aid kit that came with the last Hymer.

Both vans we have had with a Tec tower found the best thing to do with the tray is throw it, only inhibits air circulation in what is already a crap oven.:)

We've been pleased with our Tec Tower
It's good at baking 'part baked' bread
We've also used it to do baked potatoes, pizza and lasagna
It's nowhere near as good as our Aga at home, but it's been pretty good at getting upto temperature and maintaining it

Urban myth born out of snobbery, Tonka?
We have a 16year old Bessacar, snuff dry.
Never heard of damp Swift etc. vans / caravans till I came on here.
Many posts on here about damp Hymers.
Makes you wonder?

I had a brand new Bessie (2015)
Leaked like a sieve
Glad to be rid - reminded me of 1970's British cars.

I think mainly on roof light mastic drying out on older models, we had a leak on our last one last year which was a 2003 B544 but easily fixed .
