What size regulator will I need for an 80 watt panel?

dont bother john, after seeing my unit you wont look at another solar panal again
in fact there will be heaps of them stacked up by the gate at the weston show as people ditch them to replace them with my unit

It won't produce more than 6a (but might go as high as 5.5a with sun directly overhead) but to be on the safe side I'd get a 10a regulator.

Yep.. go with a 10amp, gives you a bit of safety margin and prices aint that much different.
I fact you may find more 10amp ones available..
