Hi all you good and wise funsters,

Given the choice, allowing for traveling across the whole of Europe in all seasons and ignoring the cost (for now), what items of equipment/technology would you recommend having installed when ordering a new MH?

Agreed with Tony. Install your own, cheaper and better

Pioneer MP3 with all band radio (DAB useless over in Portugal, LW & SW handy for world news), Cello cheap TV with USB socket for films, WiFi and TVCatchup for use with tablet to get live UK TV.

The only things that get regular use are the radio, a Garmin campervan GPS and our Kindles

Refillable Gas tank or bottles
Tow Bar
Inverter
Secondary heating system (diesel eberspacher / webasto)

I have done all of the Inverter, gas and many other jobs on all four of our motorhomes. But, if you are not up to the tasks. Get them done when ordered.

Multimedia, I would get a decent head unit installed, wired into all speakers, make sure it has a van sat nav and a remote control. Blaupunkt or Android based.

Specific tech, then mobile and WiFi antennas fitting to roof would save hassle, extra 12v sockets and usb sockets.

Antennas speakers and usb sockets would be a good idea but the rest you can install as needed..

Have the useless cigarette lighter thingies replaced with dual usb sockets, hard wired dash cam.
Most important, decent drinks holders in the front...

I would never get anything added on by 'them' ( who ever THEY are )
I like to control my own environment my way.. and add things as and when they are deemed required

Generally the only things that should be fitted in the factory of those listed by people are the cab A/C and the Alde heating. The rest are probably better and more cheaply fitted by yourself or specialists once you have the van.
