if you have bikes on a rack then you need a square warning board. not sure if its a legal requirement in france though.

It's either france or its spain but one of them requires two warning triangles.
If you head south you may nip into spain so i'd get another just to be sure. :thumb:

A reverse polarity test cable,
European Health Card (former E111).
Suncream ( !),
After Sun Cream,
Mosquito spray
Have a great time. The weather might be warmer and more settled down south rather than the Atlantic coast, but it all depends on the jet stream, I think.

fire extinquisher......if you dont already have one.

in one of the euro countries its compulsory to use YOUR extinquisher on a car fire even if it aint your car.
its also compulsory to give assistance in an accident....dont just drive on.

Camping carnet, Many European campsites will keep your passport till you leave if you dont have a camping carnet with you. Its somthing to do with insurance when on campsite. For instance, you damage any of there property with your camper. Camping and caravan club will supply it.Have a good trip and enjoy it.Regards,Dave.

Continental Accident agreement form, if not already with policy, saves a lot of hassle and language problems if you are unlucky enough to have an accident.

Be safe

The police here in Spain like you to have a fire extinguisher with you.

Hi there, we are doing the same trip down to the South of France. We went last year and had a great time apart from we went too late and very few campsites were open. We are going a few weeks earlier this time to make sure. Your list is very comprehensive and apart from all of the other posts, I cannot think of anything else but would just like to say " have fun" and stay safe and we might see you there!

If youre usi camp sites, can I suggest you take - or get: 1) A universal sink plug, as on many sites the washbasins dont have plugs, and 2) Toilet rolls - the new Andrex travel packs are extremely useful, and discreet.
Enjoy your trip!

Hope you need the suncream more than we have in North Wales this summer!::bigsmile:

I'm not technical so will do my best. On some campsites, when you hook up to the electric junction box, the line and neutral wires can be reversed.

You can buy a polarity tester for this from caravan shops to test if the outlet point is correctly wired.

We found in France up to a third can be wrong.

Hi Viz vest per person (at least two)
Spare bulb kit (you can buy pack /kit of bulbs in plastic container)
electric tester for crossed polarity
Your european health card (and check the date to see if it is still current as they have be renewed every?? in france every year.... I think in the uk every 3 years)
