    Hello all

I am about to plan my first trip accross to France. Ive been MHing for quite some time so I know my UK essentials.

I am still debating the South or Atlantic Coast? I am really after nice weather so it may be leaning towards the South...

Anyhow, ive been reading the threads and seaking bits and bobs of advise on what i will take in addition to the usual UK stuff

Please make any additions that you feel would be needed/ a worth while addition

    What I have listed so far is;

    Hi Viz vest
    2 pin hook up adaptor
    Hazzard triangle
    Upgraded first aid kit
    log book, insurance and liscence
    24' MH breakdown cover
    map
    Aries book UK and French
    Sat nav
Different tap fittings for FW fill ups
    Gas Mask (joke!!)

A full bulb replacement kit......and the means to change them..... screwdrivers etc.

vest for each passenger as well as your own.

    headlamp beam deflectors

if you have bikes on a rack then you need a square warning board. not sure if its a legal requirement in france though.

It's either france or its spain but one of them requires two warning triangles.
If you head south you may nip into spain so i'd get another just to be sure. :thumb:

    A reverse polarity test cable,
    European Health Card (former E111).
    Suncream ( !),
    After Sun Cream,
    Mosquito spray
Have a great time. The weather might be warmer and more settled down south rather than the Atlantic coast, but it all depends on the jet stream, I think.

comprehensive first aid kit......not a cheap one with next to nothing in it

fire extinquisher......if you dont already have one.

in one of the euro countries its compulsory to use YOUR extinquisher on a car fire even if it aint your car.
its also compulsory to give assistance in an accident....dont just drive on.

Camping carnet, Many European campsites will keep your passport till you leave if you dont have a camping carnet with you. Its somthing to do with insurance when on campsite. For instance, you damage any of there property with your camper. Camping and caravan club will supply it.Have a good trip and enjoy it.Regards,Dave.

Continental Accident agreement form, if not already with policy, saves a lot of hassle and language problems if you are unlucky enough to have an accident.

    Be safe

The police here in Spain like you to have a fire extinguisher with you.

Hi there, we are doing the same trip down to the South of France. We went last year and had a great time apart from we went too late and very few campsites were open. We are going a few weeks earlier this time to make sure. Your list is very comprehensive and apart from all of the other posts, I cannot think of anything else but would just like to say " have fun" and stay safe and we might see you there!

If youre usi camp sites, can I suggest you take - or get: 1) A universal sink plug, as on many sites the washbasins dont have plugs, and 2) Toilet rolls - the new Andrex travel packs are extremely useful, and discreet.
    Enjoy your trip!
