When I collected my van new I asked about the carpets as there were none in there, The salesman said he would look for a spare set but it came without any from Germany. He told me that they had looked but not found any that might fit.
However I looked at the invoice today and it said, 'one set of carpets £320 including VAT' I got straight back on to them and spoke to the same salesman and I heard him drop his Jaw to the floor, cough cough I will have to find out more about this and we will have to get some if it is on there. I emailed a copy of the original invoice so now wait for my carpets!!!!!!!
If it is on there then it was meant to have some I reckon, they will probably 'find a set in the store'. I do not use a carpet at the moment, but was going to make some cut to size and beaded around the edge.

We were missing a piece of pipe. It was very similar to a vacuum cleaner pipe and fits on the waste water outlet. When we viewed the MH there was one in the garage. When we picked it up it was missing. Finally got hold of one but never used it YET. It's lived everywhere so far and always seems to be in the way BUT it will get used one day. Perhaps on a FULLY SERVICED C&MC Pitch

I cannot complain about the price of the van As I did screw the price down and then found out that they didn't know about ALL the extras that were on it that weren't listed, second hot water diesel powered heater for one . I did not expect the carpets and it was just the fact it was written down, but as it was a demo one then the carpets were not in it as they get trashed by punters walking in and out. I would rather have the proper carpet, even if we do not use them straight off. My boots get filthy.

@GWAYGWAY I agree, if they've listed carpets on the invoice, then they owe you carpets.

Was it a UK demonstrator, if so, easily removeable bits and pieces are usually removed and stored for security, as the Great British public like nothing more than a freebie and will take anything that isn't tied down.

The carpets could still be wrapped, lying in a storeroom somewhere.

They probably are in store, so now they WILL HAVE TO look for them properly this time. At least I got the plugs for the sinks and shower as they are taken out on demonstration vans along with the toilet taped down to stop kids using them when on show.

@GWAYGWAY , someone on here mentioned taking the new carpets out and storing them, then fit carpet tiles. I'm just in the middle of fitting them now, estimate, about £60, and I must say, they're looking better than the ones I took out.

Mickey.

First Hymer we had carpets, they were heavy difficult to keep clean ended up removing them and making some myself from gel backed carpet, did bother with carpets on the last one just made some from gel backed carpet and will the same for the current van.

If they are on the invoice you should have them even if you don't use them.
