I have 6 of these in the van - two either side of the lounge as moveable down-lighter reading lamps and two over the fixed bed, also for reading.

The rest of the hab' lighting is LED apart from these, so I fancy changing them to LED because (as a mate of mine says) they're power hungry 'Quartz Oxygen' :D:D

There are no markings on them whatsoever. They would be 12v but what are they please and what would the equivalent in LED be?

Sorry for yet another LED thread. I wouldn't be asking if there was any type printed on them. (See pic)

Looks like an MR16 fitting. You can buy led versions in the usual places - eBay, Amazon, etc.

The halogen bulbs are power hungry and as has been suggested there are a number of different suppliers for LED bulbs. LED's generally come in "warm white" and "cool white". I find the cool white ones to be harsher and more clinical, with the warm white easier on the eyes. This is my personal view, so try and see both colours before you commit so that you find something that's suitable. You also may find that some LED's are polarity conscious, so if you put them in and they don't work, take them out and turn them around(y)

Cheers

I THOUGHT they were M 11 LED 12volt that replaced the quartz halogen originals.
