Going for a weekend wilding not sure where yet might do Ayrshire and the south west coast but don't know yet ...maybe pop and visit that old guy in the car park lol

Husbands birthday on Thursday so we're going away in the van for 6 nights. He has wanted to go to Scotland for ages so we're staying a couple of nights in Annan then a couple of nights in Newton Stewart. We're then heading back and staying on a site near Whitby where we stayed years ago in our very very first trip out in a motorhome which we had hired. I have chosen the sites and am not telling him where we are going - I will just set up the GPS and tell him to follow its instructions. Hope it all works out well and hoping for decent weather.

Going down to Praa Sands for the weekend.

A couple of days chilled out by the sea - just what I need.

Sitting in the car park at Appledore looking at the boats. Off to Porth Beach, Newquay in the morning to spend the weekend with the Tamar DA. Would recommend the Car park at Appledore at £5 per night, Westward Ho! is a bit tight for anything over 6 metres. Barnstaple has a good van parking area for overnight stays but is strictly limited to 3.5 tonnes GVW.

I am off down to the Algarve to meet an old drinking mate of mine from Bath.

He and his other half are flying in from Bath (via Bristol).

He is a massive Man U*d fan so I am looking forward to hanging out with him for a few days.

Then back up to Coimbra for this year's week long magic festival.

Pretty soon the winter sun seeking hoards of Funsters will be heading south and one or two might call in... hope so anyway.

It's the start of the rugby season. I'll be off to Mansfield to watch the mighty Kettering RFC on Saturday then on Sunday the eating machine has training. So pretty much a weekend of beer interspersed with some rugby now and then. The MH won't move.

Life is funny(not haha) when we are young our parents look after us, then we rush about raising our own offspring, then just when they are married or just moved out, we need to care for our parents. Is there a golden moment when we are ever free of commitments, before our kids start to worry and care for us?

Nothing apart from nurse our son who has just come out of hospital with a (second time) collapsed lung - had to cancel our Scotland trip but aint that whats so good about campers/MH we can go anytime
