Just arrived at the NEC for the Classic Car show.
£16 to park, what a rip off!!
How come the tickets are only £13 on the day for the MH show and free parking, and tickets are £30 each and £16 Parking here at the Classic car show.
I guess whilst people keep paying it, then they will still keep putting prices up.

That is because the average person who keeps classic cars is richer than the average motorhomer ..................................

Just popped over to the Isle of Wight to pick up a chassis mounted bike rack. Glad I didn’t take the Motorhome, it was bloody dear enough with the pick up.
Cheaper to go Dover/Calais!!

Interestingly, @jdk62 and @Trikeman , there was a potential issue around the MAM. We had been verbally assured by the salesman it was 3850kg but the plates on the van say 3500kg. Paul was told “it’s too late you’ve bought it now” at which point he said he would reject it as it had been misrepresented. They then fetched log book from the office which clearly states 3850kg.

The reason is that the MH show and car parking is paid for by the exhibitors paying a small fortune for their stand so the punters coming through the doors are subsidised where as the classic car show is 90% car clubs who get their stand for free plus a dozen or so free entry tickets for the guys manning the stand so the punters come through the doors are paying for the cost of the car club stands and car park.

Not when we bought them, would hope they are now, but the enjoyment of driving and riding them is priceless.

We went right up into the woods at Temple Newsham Park again today . It's not far from home and as we aren't away in Pug this weekend , it passed a few hours , in the fresh air .
There were loads of large geese in a field . Probably stopping for a rest enroute somewhere .

We found the perfect spot for cooking lunch.

Ralph got his folding fire box out and his wood and charcoal.

Nice mug of red bush tea first .

Prepping the asparagus , mushrooms , onion and garlic .

Nice big knob of butter .

A couple of salt and peppered 36 day matured Aberdeen Angus steaks. Mine medium Ralphs medium well.

Done .

Fitbit said We walked nearly 7 miles and did 68 flights of stairs too.
We never got any rain either till nearly back to the car . Then it hammered it down .
Lovely day out was had by all . Busters whacked too .
We’re all showered and in our Jim jams now . Looking forward to a nice glass of Bunahaben whiskey , counting down till 7 bells

Leaving motorhome at home this week and having 4 days from tomorrow at tattershall lakes in superior static van. £89 for 4 days. Close enough for day at each Lincoln, Don a nook to see the seals and Gibraltar point skegness.

Seriously, we are off to Brugge, really. Sunday to Tuesday mini break Looking forward to it.
Our eldest (24) is sorting through his clothes and belongings at home. Deciding what to keep when he moves out into his own house. Then he’s sorting out what to throw/give away. Contracts haven’t been signed yet , I don’t want him to tempt fate.. but worse case , if it does fall through. At least his bedroom will have had a good clear out !
