I've just read what passes for a review of a fith wheeler. This behemoth is 48 ft long, but I guess it's weight, all up, still allows it to be driven on a car licence without any further training. Is this wise??

I can't see it in the reviews section...

If you guide me to it I'll put a link up for it :thumb:

Go to Reviews-Motorhomes-Fifth wheel, and it's the only review there.

Is it this one? Link Removed

48 foot tow length.Seems a lot of empty space between the tow vehicle and the 5th wheel.

Really love these things and I KNOW my wife wants to buy one.:Eeek:

ah, I see it now :winky: The fifth wheeler is only 34ft long. The total length is due to the location of the fifth wheel location on the towing vehicle.

But, is it right that on a normal car licence one should be able to use on the roads a vehicle that is 48ft long?
