On and off for many years.
Funny thing is when we said to the kids that we'd agreed to sell Buffy they all said "Oh, did you order a new one then?" !!!! We have warned them we intend to enjoy our savings and retirement and they won't get a massive inheritance from us :)

We worked for the money we have and expect them to do the same although we can and do help them out (more than our parents did anyway) when necessary. I don't want to end up like my parents with more income and savings that they can use and no fun memories to look back on as they were too busy saving for the future.

Spot on there Helen(y)....... We told our kids they were getting the house and that was it. The rest of our millions* we are going to enjoy :)

Well if we trade the current van in (fixed trade in price agreed or equivalent in cash if we sell before then) we get to use her until the new van is ready..... if we sell before then we will buy premium bonds and see what happens :) We have a lot to sort out at home over the winter (huge de-clutter and decorate) plus I want things done in the garden.

What I really need is someone to come and help me de-clutter - or at least keep cracking the whip as I get distracted! MHF doesn't help there :(

I am going to be ruthless though and not hold onto things I have never ever used just for sentimental reasons. Our charity shops should see a bonanza of goods coming their way..... I also have a lot of kitchen stuff dating from the 1920s onwards !!

It IS a (mobile) duck home!!!!!

As my Dad says every time he looks into our motorhome "You could live in this" - and Mum always says "They don't have toilets you know" ..... except last time she asked why there was an obscured window and I told her it was the en-suite shower.... Dad asked if the effluent (he used a less polite term) went on the road as you traveled and was that why there was so much mud on the roads these days..........
