Being newbies,oh:
We are interested in attending the Western motorhome show with other RV owners this August (this will possibly be our first attempt at attending a rally unless we get persuaded to attend another one first ) but not sure how to go about booking.:helpsos:
I gather from some forums that you have to book direct through Warners, but can anyone tell me what the fee is? are there any hook ups? and any useful information that would help make this a pleasurable event.

We are newbies as well booked through Warner, from Thursday £43. with club discount. water and disposal I think but no hook up, you can use generators, there is a place to choose the club you camp with, motorhome fun are in there.

We went to Stratford last year under general but got put with the RVs but looks as though Malvern are more official..

We enjoy these shows, everyone there for same reason..mind you killjoy not
sure I will be in fancy dress/costume of country and western..

It is very easy going

MFH and the sister site RVOC park up together. When you get your paper work check it and make sure you have ben booked with MHF..you cannot just go anywhere at a Warner show.. only with the group you are booked in with. Malvern is the daddy of the shows as far as I am concerned.. a lot, lot more motor homes at Malvern than you will find at shows like Stratford on Avon. Some say it is 5,000 motor homes.. getting out after the show can take a couple of hours.

While a lot of people do dress for the show, many more do not. It is not strange to find people in Western gear or dressed as an Indian.. there is an Indian compound with Tepees and in the show a western area with re-enactment.. I admit I get my Colt 45 out and put the belt on at this show and no one bats an eyelid.. at the enterance to the entertainment halls (3 of them) there is even a gun marshall checking to make sure your have no blanks in the guns.

It has the best selection of stalls (need bags of money .. well I do) and lots of RV's and european motor homes. It has a great feeling about it as a show. The music in the evening is also great. But then on our own area we do put up a tent and have our own good time or just sit around and have a BBQ.

Water is not to far away, but there is very limited black dump facilities.. do need a macerator really as you have to pump it rather than dump it:Blush: There are toilet blocks and showers .. but 101% no EHU's it is a case of live off your batteries or run the genny.. that is allowed between 8 a.m and 10 p.m. but we try to think of those about us.
