Quick cup of tea and a sausage sandwich and we're off for 3 weeks. Tunnel this afternoon then heading down through Eastern France, into Italy via Chamonix. We've got a week on a site at Lake Garda then we're heading back across Austria, Germany and Belgium. Pictures and updates as and when I can.

Hi, hve a good trip. GoBox in Austria or are you under 3500kgs? Just interested as we're heading that way in September. Will need that holiday after 2 weeks in August in France (Vendee) with Kids & Grandkids!

Have a great trip and holiday.

You will be back just in time for humiliating World Cup warm up defeats.

Not to worry though as it will prepare you for the real thing:D

Neither. We're hopping straight across, Brennen Pass to Scharnitz and not planning to stop. It's only about 100km and we can stay off the motorways so we don't need a GoBox. I looked at getting one but it would have cost so much it's not worth it for what we're doing

We stayed at Watten last night, about 30 mins from Calais on a nice little sore by the canal with working barges going past. 3 other Brit vans out of a total of 6.

We've moved on this morning to Mareuil-sir-Ay in the Champagne region. We're at a lovely aire by the river parked under some trees with free WiFi. Apparently there are half a dozen Champagne producers based here so we're just off to find them :D

Just a short hop today to Froncles and another canal side aire. This one has electric, a shower block and a laundry should you want such things. It's 31° at the moment so we're just about to have some lunch in the sun then go exploring.

Tonight's dinner has let me trial run a couple of new bits of kit, both purchased after hearing about them on here. Both are Cadac addons, the stilts and the pizza stone. They both work perfectly, no complaints at all. We've just had a tiny little 5 minute rain shower which has cooled it down to 29° (y)

Another update. We spent last night by the lake at Nantua which is lovely. These pictures don't do it justice. The aire is just outside the town at the end of the lake and is next to a park which seems to be a popular day out. Myself and the dogs had a dip in the lake before breakfast this morning.

We went out for dinner in a hotel restaurant which was very very good. The view out of the window wasn't bad either

We moved on this morning intending to stay on the aire at Annecy tonight but as it turns out half of Europe seems to have had the same idea so we've ended up at La Balme de Sillingy which is about 9 miles away and is by its own little lake and park. It's just behind the buildings in the background
