Certainly won't miss you if our paths cross in Brittany, we go 1st Sept via Portsmouth /Caen, touring anti clockwise beginning will be heading towards the Rose Granite coast.

Thanks folks. I'd love to take the credit for the paint job but I can't. I bought it from A german guy who brought it over to the UK. He is a wooden sculptor maker and used the van to advertise his website. He painted the whole thing by hand - even the decals. It's a bit 'tired' now and I plan to rub it down and repaint it while I'm away.

I did wonder if I was brave enough to travel in it at the beginning. Sometimes we pull up and you can see heads turn and people probably expect some bohemian type to come out the door and you can see their disappointment when it's jut me and him in our Marks and Spencer's jumpers.

Great conversation starter though. I'm hoping it means I won't be too short of someone to talk to on this solo trip.

I've just read through this thread and am so happy for you. You sound really positive and have taken a terrible situation and flipped it on its head. So many people let divorce or bereavement take over their life and stop and I don't believe you should. You only get one chance so live it.
