I've just done a 'tip' run and noticed that there's a local authority weigh bridge next door. Seeing the operators standing outside having a smoke, I drove the car in to get a price for when the van is ready to weigh.
I thought £20 for a printed ticket was a bit steep, but probably worth it in the long run. Noticing that it was a large single plate bridge, I asked their opinion on the accuracy when doing the front axle by itself, then after the full weigh, doing just the rear.
"It's accurate enough mate, but that's 3 weighs and 3 tickets £60"
Was I 'weigh' off with my expectations or is that the norm ?
