hi looking for a bit of advice our heater stopped working this weekend its a webasto air top 3500 and the error light is flashing 7 times which the manual says is metering pump interrupt or metering pump short circuit any help to fix this would be appreciated thanks.

Without hands on it will be guess work
The fault code is a simple indication that the pump is getting no power or has shorted ie not working Blown fuse somewhere probably an internal fuse, as it must have power to give you the code. bust circuit board etc etc and prob many more reasons depending on model
Model No may help track down info

We have the Dualtop on our MH. The principles are the same though!

The metering pump is the fuel pump which you will find mounted under the van, usually on a rubber mounting. It is about 1 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" long. You will find it has an electrical connector on it.
You will need to check the connector and the wiring from it to the main heater unit. If all this is OK, I have known these pumps to seize internally due to rust/debris jamming it up inside.
