When leaving an answer to a post a lot of people leave a link to a web page. Instead of just leaving the web page address they say click here .

How do you do that.

To do the clever link thingy ...

highlight the word you want as a link (a right click and drag your mouse) , then click on the Link Icon , paste the url and jobs done ..

OK, I copied your page url , typed "here" , then highlighted it..
click on the Link button on the posting box menu bar, ( the one under the little smiley icon)
paste the url and click ok ..

maybe I better stick to electrics rather than teaching putter .. :Doh:

If you go to Website help and then open sub forum 'How To' .... among others, Jim has put up a great video 'The Right way to add a link to your posts'

Thats how I learnt anyway :thumb: Guess I should have put a link to it :Doh:

when you click on the link icon and the box opens make sure you either delete the HTTP// in the URL address bar or change it in the 'Type' box above to 'other'. then paste the URL.
easier to delete the existing HTTP.
otherwise it will enter HTTP// twice and the link probably wont work.
