We need rally marshals that can marshal the motorhome show rallies, we need more than one marshal as rallies are held frequently and all over the country. The marshals will need to be able to arrive at the showground on a Thursday so that they are there to welcome and safely park up the ralliers.

Whilst this is an unpaid position it is not un-thanked as everyone is appreciative of their efforts. Rally marshals also get to go to the show for free.

The shows are mostly in the Midlands/North; Peterborough, Pickering, Lincoln, Stratford, Newark etc with southern shows in Newbury and Shepton mallet. It would be great if we could get someone to marshal these.

If you are interested or have any questions please ask here.

    Thanks

Do we get a peaked cap...

    And a clipboard.....

And, essential, a two way radio....

And can we fine them if they are not parked in the marked bay....

And wheel clamps, how many wheel clamps for the stroppy ones....

And a camera, mounted on peaked cap....

And expenses, loads of expenses ?

    Errrrrrrrrrr, no.

Do the marshals come and inspect *under* the toilet seat ?

Or do they wear Rubber Gloves ?

    I hate cheap rubber gloves.

I am expecting school to finish on the 14th this year so I could probably help at Pickering.

Me and sam have done rally marshaling for another club a couple of times (then that club decided they didnt want a prescence at the shows),

We would like to get back into it, we are always available to be at the shows from when ever we are allowed in (not being allowed to work and all that)

Havent done it for 3 or more years.... as we were touring europe or not able to use the van due to moving into our first home, but now we are back to touring england, and love the shows, we may as well make our selves usefull if we can.

    our rules were:
Park in what ever position you like on the pitch area, just leave a bit of room between units.... if you want to park so you and your friends awnings meet in the middle, do so,

Run your generators as needed during daylight hours,

Anyone seen placing a red bucket with the word 'fire' on it outside a unit on the clubs pitch is banned from all further meets,

oh and the most importiant one... have fun, anyone not having fun will be punished :thumb:

if people havent guessed by now, i dont take life too seriousely unless i really have to, so it's great to have finaly found a club with (hopefully) like minded members.

anyhoo, if we can be of assistance, let us know.

Much as I would happily offer my services marshalling, unfortunately we are restricted due to nasty school rules that dont allow us to take our son out of school during term time and so we are usually one of the last to arrive but, if we attend any during the holidays I would be happy to assist xxxxx

For now, all we can do is share the barbeque xxxxx

if your stuck for a marshal for pickering, me n sam will voulenteer, never been to that show, and want to be in that area to show sam a bit of yorkshire.

seems a few people want to go to pickering, but a lot more don't, so it'll be a small meet compared to this stratford one, but in some ways the smaller meets are more cozy,
