Arrived at Zahora about 4-30pm... BOOootiful and hot...

Greatful Thanks To Marie (Penelopepitstop) for sorting out a nice size plot...

Even had Lady P & Rex as a welcoming party at the gate...

Maybe on second thoughts they may have been going to lock the gate before we got here.. But we beat them to it and got through..

Fair few Funsters & RVOC members here,,, nice site and loads of toilet and shower blocks..

Nice Bar and Cafe/Retaurant on site and a desent supermarket suppliying the site and the locals...

We decided to give the fortnight in Portugal a miss after our misshap with the car... Cant be doing without a car with our Paul... and drive from Caceres straight down to Zahora... after a detour through the city of Seville to tank up on LPG, Thats a big busy City now... last time I was there in the early sixty`s it was only a little city.. :Eeek:

Just got to get my car fixed and do a bit of sight seeing..

This will do us for a few weeks... Hot Heat and plenty of Wine..... :thumb:

Do you mean here Larry.. ?

    If so that`s great news....

Look forward to it... terrific friendly atmosphere on this site.. :thumb:

If you go into the old city of Casceras on the way down mind the Hydraulic "Bollards"...:thumb:

PS,,,,,,, when you come can you bring a "Radiator and front Valance/Skirt" and some more "Gaffa" tape for a Peugeot 107... :Rofl1:

Forget that.... I have heard through the grapevine that a yellow one will be here in January... I can nick the bits off that once I get the owner inebreated..:Rofl1:

Yes Mo thats the plan , we were going to last year then that bl##dy cancer thing stopped us.

    Bollards what bollards

We are thinking of bringing the 107 but had considered hiring. Please let me know of local hire costs as I believe you are looking at the moment.

I am having an extenda stay fitted , I assume cylinders are available locally, guess I will need an adapter.

    Have a great time :thumb::thumb:

    Looking forward to seeing you:Smile:

We've just (yesterday) hired a car from Auriga Crown in Chiclana - we use them every year and have always had good cars.

This year we decided to go for the smallest option and have a Kia Picanto.

The cost for 30 days is:- €181.31 for the hire
€ 42.00 for an additional driver
€ 60.00 for extra insurance to cover glass, tyres etc.
    Total €283.31

We think that's quite good - just over €66.00 for a week.

    Thanks Marie

as we will be travelling in winter it will be a better option to hire and save dragging a trailer behind.
We are really looking forward to the trip and meeting up with old friends and new :thumb:
