We had a Christmas on our own a few years ago when we were both still working and we both loved it.We did exactly what we wanted without feeling guilty about what we should be doing.

This may be one of our quietest Christmasses, we usually invite the close family over ( generally 12 of us ) but this year will be our first Christmas in France and we have invited only my Mum and Brother. ( so far.....)

Well my eldest doesn't celebrate Christmas but he will be joining us for Dinner on what I call Christmas day and so will my youngest lad so it's us two, both sons two DIL's and six grandchildren ranging from 13 years to 20 years. Twelve for lunch, Jackie put the sprouts on yesterday, should be ready by the 25th.

Then we're going to celebrate New Year at Martin and Jen's bash @funflair along with our @Debs and one or two other ner-do-wells. Bring it on......

I don't have my parents for the first time in 25 years.....cheeky ski trip with the hubby maybe. Unfortunately daughter 25, 23 and son 21 are not so impressed. I did say we will be back on Christmas Eve so as long as someone gets the turkey out of the freezer.......all good. :D
