Water tank problems. (1 Viewer)

Can anyone help. The insert of the screw top on the top of my water tank has split and now leaks water from the top of the tank. Any ideas fir a replacement or effective repair?

If you have access to a soldering iron you could try melting a cable tie along the split, or use some super glue, another fix is using Polymorphic beads, they melt in hot water & can be moulded to shape then harden when they cool. I always carry some in the MoHo for emergencys. You can get them from Amazon or EBay.

I would use a hot soldering iron as already mentioned
Push the tip in to the crack to ABOUT 1/2 thickness, move back a couple of mm, repeat until done
I went on a plastics welding course about 5 years ago with a firm that supplies specialist equipment
Speaking to the guy instructing during a break, I mentioned that is the method I use.. He grinned, and said it was he did too and did not use the clever stuff at all LOL !!
