I'm a newbie
OK we used or van Friday first time since November should we have flushed water through the system before use?
Or is it not likely to get any bacteria or bugs in the system.
Also should you flush anything though pipes to keep every thing fresh and clean on the waste side of pipes?
Thanks
Jim

Since 2005
there should be enough chlorine in regular tap water to kill any bacteria.

Mine gets drained in winter, filled in spring and topped up as and when needed.
But then, i have a quality water filter installed so even if the water was rancid it would still be drinkable.

Can't remember ;)
I use a good squirt of bleach-run through to taps etc - and leave for an hour or two then flush system :thumb: or there stuff like Ster-a-clean tablets you can buy for a few quid - before anyone says Bleach damages boiler etc it's simply not in there long enough :winky:::bigsmile:
