Made the mistake of reading the weather forecast in the Daily Fail - after last years gales it looks like we will all be under 6 feet of snow, but one mustn't believe what we read in the press, least of all the Mail!

Morning Gail and Funsters.

Just looked at tides for the Strood. High tide is at 14:38 with a medium chance of the sea covering the causeway.
May be wise to avoid arriving around ½ hour either side of 14:38.
There may be queues and even worse, salt water !

Can I suggest if you can arrive early a visit to Cudmore Grove at the furthest point of East Mersea is worth a visit.

There is ample parking for Motorhomes with good access and it costs £2 all day. Located at CO5 8UE

Now dont go believing all you read according to the 10 day weather forecast we have 4 percent chance of rain no mention of snow

HOWEVER

We have previously had a meet in the SNOW at Mersea Island and it didnt stop anyone having a good time and enjoying themselves. If we do end up with snow I am sure we can rustle up a snow sculpture competition with a prize to the winner

18 bottles mulled wine including the one kindly donated by Highwayman 60 mince pies and the hotdogs all ready for mersea and most of the rest of the shopping done. Cauldron and Hotwater urn packed. Large table packed Just gotta source some more charcoal and buy the rolls & milk tomorrow

lets hope the plastic disposable wine glasses arrive before we leave and that I can find remember exactly where I put the raffle prizes.
