We need some advice from you Funsters who have experience of MH'ing in Morocco.
We intend to take the ferry across in February from Algeciras having first been to the 'famous' Carlos first for our tickets.
Once in Morocco we don't want to enter (or visit) large cities, but just take in the the ambiance and sights to begin with in the quieter places.
Any recommendations regarding campsites, areas worth travelling to and places to avoid maybe.
We've travelled extensively throughout Europe and we reluctantly admit to relying on our Ventura sat nav. (Maps as well of course!) But having spent a lot of money on this sat Nav I was disappointed to find out that they can't provide mapping for Morocco. So what's available without wandering too far from the main roads? Can you help? In fact any advice would be great! Thanks

If you have a tablet or smart phone you have the basis of a satnav. OSMand works on Android and would allow you to find campsites as would good ol' Google maps especially now you can download sections of their map for use offline. You can also get dedicated satnav software to run a tablet. Copilot gets a lot of recommendations on here.

You'll also pick up a lot of info by going through the Morocco 2014 and Morocco 2015 threads - but make sure you've got an evening or two to spare!!!

I posted some basic information in the resources section (dark blue bar above) gleaned from our and others experiences.

There's not that many roads in Morocco, even a map will be easy to follow :)

Try "Motorhome Morocco" by Julie and Jason Buckley available on kindle/Amazon. It's a good read and useful!

Michelin map number 742. Easy to follow.
Why not try the route used by some tour companies but miss out the big cities.
For example, start at Tangier med port then head to Martil on the med coast; Chefchaouen (blue town), Azrou (Barbary apes); midelt for a stop going over the Atlas then Source bleu de meski followed by Merzouga for the dunes. Then on to the Todra gorge followed by Ait Benhaddou. There is then a choice between continuing over the mountains to Marrakech or going to Taroudant through Agadir to Essaouira. Then it's up the coast back to Tangier Med stopping where you fancy.

You can get a copy of the Camping Morocco book from Vicarious books and download the updates or the Parkings app from Campercontact is also good and works offline.

That is the route we took in 2012, great locations and fairly easy route finding, provided you make allowances for the bikes, donkeys, and the odd crazy driver...Gary

As said.. Just have a night on here reading all the past funster trips. Morocco 2013 - 2014- 2015 and 2016..
A road map is fine.. Only ever got lost when I followed someone with a sat nav. :)
Check out YouTube.. Our late friend MrMotorhome did some great videos of our travels and the fun we had..

And looking at the OP's blog, they didn't go in the end. Not sure why.
